Totally Thoughtless Thursday

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes on the recent floods to Nashville and the surrounding areas. I am heading to a friends 'house' today to assist...in any way possible. Basically, he and his wife have to tear the house down to the studs, power wash and start over. For the love of Pete...

For all of those who offered to take Gunnar off my hands for a while, I thank you too. Yep, after not having a puppy for 10 years, you forget what it takes. He's still super cute and likes to go on walks while carrying his stick or your newspaper. I think some neighbors are missing their coupon section, just sayin.

REV3...did someone say that I have to race this weekend?!?!?! With everything going on, I virtually forgot. Now, you know how this goes, this is not A race, this is B-C race, practice race, just to make sure I can swim/bike/run all in a row. I hope it doesn't turn into a duathlon from all the flooding but we'll just have to see how fast that river is flowing on Sunday. Could be like swimming in a washing machine!

Good luck to all racing this weekend...and rebuilding their homes.

Don't worry about the race. You will rock it!! And yes, stuff like that kind of creeps up to me, too. Though not races until now, more like tests.

You are a good friend to help your friends, I send some strength via the universes strength postal service also for your race.

This dog of your's is adorable. Soooo cute.

I try to imagine you sounding like Rice Krispies. *snicker"

Gunnar makes my heart MELT! You know what? You are probably going to have an incredible race because you haven't been thinking about it at all... :) :)

It is such a good thing to help out your friends. My God, I can't imagine tearing everything down to the studs...I would just move and leave. I know, easier said that done, but what a task ahead of them. Thank goodness for good buds like you!

Please pass on my well wishes to your friends. :)

Sorry to hear about your friends' house. Man, Mother Nature sure is a b*tch sometimes ...

But perhaps the swim will be like B2B with a nice current that helps athletes. Hope the race goes well for you!

Wow, I can't even imagine what your friends and other flood-effected people are going through. That's very nice of you to help them with the cleanup...times like that when friends and family mean more than anything!

Ship Gunner out to Colorado, I'll take good care of him at Camp Melissa!

Good luck this weekend!

Yes, maybe they can make it a point-to-point swim with current? :-)

Best wishes to your friends that truly sucks to have to tear it all down.
Please shout a few GO VOLS! and GO BIG ORANGE for me when you are near Neyland Stadium this weekend. I wanted to do this race, but the hills scared me away. YES I AM A WEENIE :P Perhaps there will be another Knoxvegas tri to do.

I imagine swimming in the river there will be like swimming in the Potomac. Gah!
You will rock, cause you always do! Have fun! Tummy rubs to Gunnar.

It certainly puts your racing life in perspective when there is a natural disaster.
