Well Wishes and Best Inentions

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes during this very challenging and stressful time. I think I'm living on the Pepcid because the acid in my gut seems to come to the surface regularly. Basically, I just feel like I'm going to barf all the time. The stress won't let me sleep and I can do little else but think about what I'm going to do next. And, no, I can't just wing it for a while and see what happens.

On the training front, I DID skip a workout this week. This is not common for me but I was afraid if I got into the pool, I would not come up for air. I've got a four hour bike today and a short run, hill repeats on the bike tomorrow and a swim. I'm trying to keep this part of my life together. I've invested too much time and energy in making it happen.

I'm starting to think that B2B might be ffreeezzzing by Nov.7 with this cold front that has come through. Dang, getting on a bike while you're soaking wet and it's 50 degrees makes for a cccollld day and ride.

The training will help deal with stress. Sounds weird, but it works. That's a cold ride, I give up when it gets that cold. Hope things go better for you soon.

I love cold weather, but I can't imagine exercising in the cold while wet. Brrr!

Hang in there! Hope things work out quickly for you!

Stress is a killer -- I know how it feels to lie awake at night and feel it eating at you...And then when you do finally manage to fall asleep, inevitably you wake up to go to the bathroom and then the stress is right there waiting for you.

One day at a time, one second at a time. Keeping the workouts going can be the best ticket to keeping some semblance of normalcy in your life.

Good luck -- we are rooting for you, you know! :)

Exercise is great therapy but it can't solve money problems. Stress can hurt and I'm very sorry it's hurting you right now.

I do not envy those kind of conditions you may have to endure in Novemver though. This girl cannot handle cold. No way!

Truly sorry to hear you're experiencing a rough patch, there, sister. They can be tough to get through.

But they do pass, so hang in there and let time do what it does so well.

Best of luck, sister! Hope you feel better soon!

I think it tends not to be super cold that weekend - so try not to stress about that. Seems like you have enough stressors other places! Sending you good vibes, chica.

Having a consistent workout routine in a stressful time of life saved me last year w/my mom...but you also need someone to talk it out with...and to be with...and other distractions that make you laugh. Search for those...those also saved me last year.

Hang in there girl.

Hang in there Missy. Must have been one hell of a bomb dropped on you. I hope everything gets worked out soon.

The bike ride in the cold sounds miserable....and I am used to the cold.

B2B was beautiful and hot last year!

Don't start stressing now about the weather!

Amazing how since I started living this healthy lifestyle, even the biggest stress situations seem to be a lot easier to handle.
I don't handle stress well, just ask my poor GI tract!
Hope all is getting better or that there is at least a light at the end of this tunnel.

I regretted not having my arm warmers on the bike at IM FL last year. Definitely keep those in mind for the bike.

I've been through a lot of shit this year, sister. You know where to find me if you need me :-)

You cannot worry about the weather for B2B this far out. You know it could be 50 tomorrow and 80 by Friday.

It is too far out.

Sorry about the stress. I have periods of time when the pain is unbearable for weeks at a time. Then I get through it.

Exercise regiment usually works better than an alcohol one, from personal experience.
