Looong Weekend!

Who gets up at 4:15am on a day off from work to go to swim?! C'mon man, are you kidding me. Yep, did it. Sheesh. Besides that, some open water swimming at the lake, lots of rides and a few runs.

To top it all off, some rock solid tick inspection. Yep, RH had one on his leg (thankfully, that's where he 'dug in') and that led to multiple tick inspections of animals and humans alike. Always good times....

Found this nasty little bugger on Magnus. It was a sign - got to get that Frontline on STAT! Thankfully, he's a pretty amicable guy about the whole thing.
Be careful with those little nasties when you stop to pee on a bush on your next ride. That isn't a new mole you've developed on your undercarriage;)

Do you like the helmet marks?!

Besides Ryan trying to take me out by making me ride three days in a row - you gotta take your opportunities when they present themselves - we went to a wedding reception and a few parties. You know it's a good reception when someone ends up in the pool...fully clothed. OK, he was diving for his phone that was dropped in the pool but WHATEVAH.

Ah yes, reliving the good old days where you didn't leave a party until the kegs were floating. It was a great time. Nothing like being at a table with NOT ONE but TWO urologists and other assorted medical types. I won't even post what they had to offer...I'd be flagged for indecent material. But man, lemme tell ya, people like to do crazy stuff to their junk, that's fo sho.

And thennn, we discover that our friends got engaged this weekend as well. Oh, love is in there...gotta go....

Congratulations you two! We are very happy for you!

You are so hardcore! Great job getting out there so early.

*shudder* with the tick. they always gross me out. I found one on my dogs cheek and that sucker would not die!

Looks like you had some fun this weekend! Congrats to your friends.

Ticks make me want to puke!! Gross.

I ended up drinking with my parents and their friends until 3am this morning - and then drank at the Cardinals game all afternoon. So I'm right there with you on reliving the good old days :) Kegs floating? Out of wine? THEN it's time to go to bed. Love it. :) Glad you had a good weekend and congrats to your friends!

Ticks are such icky little buggers. We got Shayla with the Frontline a few weeks ago when we noticed the ants stirring. The vet says when you treat the animal, you basically treat the home.

I'm trying to pump up my riding and swimming as well... fun fun!!

Happy Memorial Day!!!

Urologist humor? I don't even want to know....

Ticks are sooo nasty. I am very careful about potty stops along rides/runs because I know what lurks out there, having had to remove them from dogs.

Yuck on the tick-I had one on my boob one day last summer, how the hell it got there I have NO idea! Out biking, came in for a shower and HELLO! Shit did that hurt pulling that sucker off!
Health care humor is the BEST! You should hear me some days, it's like a hospital got put together with a truck stop! I can definitely think of some of the urologist's suggestions!

I take a tick off Boomer every other day, it seems. Thank goodness he has short hair, like Magnus.
I thought you were "over" getting up that early?

Oh, and yes, I have a lace up ankle brace. It's just a tad too bulky to put on under a shoe. ;)

Love the helmet marks and the fact you get up early to swim when you really don't have to be up!

When I was 6, living in the summer in Shreveport LA, I got one of the nasty boogers on the "young" family jewels. Mom and Gmom had to get it off while I was sleeping.

SLEEP IN!!!!!

I thought my son had a tick behind his ear last night but it was dirt. Thank God!

Ooohhh... yikes! The tick! Nasty little buggers!

Me LOVES the helmet marks! Nearly as great as "eyes popping out of socket" goggle marks! :o)

My dog makes the same face when we are checking her for ticks. Love the pictures!

Totally TMI, but I will practically pee on the trail before I risk ticks on my "undercarriage" or a rattle snake bite to the ass.

Sounds like you guys has a great weekend!

ewww, don't like ticks, but aside from that, looks like you had a great weekend, nice job getting up so early for your rides! :D

I had a tick on my n*ts@ck once.

True story.

I blogged about it.

Are the urologists more disgusting than that?

Didn't think so.

OMG!! Ewwwhhh that tick pic makes me cringe!

LMAO are they helmet marks or helmet tans? Because a helmet tan would be so much hotter LOL

Um - yeah - ticks totally squick me out. Stay away from cedar trees at this time of year! And since I'm condensing comments these days I'll bring up here how cool it was that you got to talk to Shanna Armstrong! I think getting up early to do what you are motivated/excited to do is what living fully is all about. Yay you!

PS - my verification word is "hydrumat" which is just plain weird.

YIKES ticks!!! Luckily, I've never gotten any but I did once end up with some burrs in my bike shorts when I brushed up against a weed that apparently did not want to be peed on. Not fun.

But urologists at a party, now that does sound sorta fun :-)
