Shoes found!

I have found my running shoes (yes, that's swim bag in the background). The best part...I didn't get up at 4am to get to the pool today. Wow. 4am anything just blows - unless you're going on vacation. That's the only excuse. Well, I'm sucking down some coffee in prep for this baby sized run. My mileage has been about six miles A WEEK during all this swim training. Time just did not allow it. I will have to refrain from the super ramp up and jump into 20 miles/week. I'll have to mix that in with my ever so favorite, bike!!! Weather is not on my side these days. It's rainy season in TN so you gotta get it while you can.

I think I have finally washed all the Miami off of me. Ever leave some place and feel like you need to scrub yourself from the inside? Not like - I touched the grocery cart and need to wash my hands from the kids arse that's been sitting in this basket BUT a real cleaning, cleansing from the inside with a brillo pad? That's how I feel. Don't get me wrong, had a blast but my eyes are still burning from everything I saw! Yes, this is Buddha smoking a Cuban cigar in our hotel lobby. I think Blondie was trying to feed him beer too. Yeah, I know, weird.

And people want to move there?? I am glad Tampa is a little more Americanized. I haven't been to Miami in 39 years. I think I will continue to stay away.
Take it easy on the running

Running, this is Missy. Missy, this is running. Now shake hands and make up. You will be good friends again :)

You are so right about Miami. Its so pretty - but pass the brillo pad.

Glad you have the same feelings about Daisy of love - those guys just look like they smell bad. Gross. We need to find a new reality show to obsess about.

Yes, even from nearby Ft. Lauderdale, Miami seems like a foreign country. It does have some great events though. I love the Miami Marathon in January, and Key Biscayne is the place for triathlons. Don't be a stranger.

Yippee for running. How do your arms feel from your swim?

Take it easy on the run volume - you can not ramp it up like you did the swimming - I'm still trying to ramp up my swimming by the way.

Yay for the running!

I have never been to Miami and I can't say that it is on my list of must go to places.

Hey, sister, thank for striking that pose because that'll be a SNAP to photoshop into a Britney-getting-outta-the-cab/Sharon-Stone-in-Basic-Instinct type thing.

You get to sleep late now? Lucky you!

I'm kinda "meh" about Miami, but Teh 'bride loves it ...

i am totally behind on my blog reading (was away and without technology) so am just getting to congratulate you now - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

i'm totally interested in the whole open saltwater swim as i will be doing ironman cozumel in november. was wondering about the raw mouth issue...

i'm assuming no wetsuits, but a fastskin maybe?

looking forward to reading about your running adventures as you get reacquainted. :)

btw, what's with the legs in the air in the belly dude pic?? haha. almost like belly dude just stepped on someone and those are there legs as they are squished like a blowup doll. heh.

Oh, I don't know. There's a few 4am things that are fun. Don't totally forget about the swimming. You love it. Come on, you do. You have those guns to maintain. Have fun on the running!

Saw your comment @ Teh Loose Moose's and was just wondering if I could maybe sell you some Fresh Gu? Fresh-squeezed!

WooHoo for no 4am wake up call.

So you didn't have to get up at 4a, but you're still posting before 6a??

Sleep in already!

Teh Marcy is right. If Buddha was a runner he'd have to don about 14 bras to keep those puppies from flopping about.

Regarding Glaven's (second) comment: Do NOT pay full price for the GU. If you wait long enough, i believe he will put it on the clearance rack.

I'm used to the cold New England water from scuba diving up here and never felt the desire to dive in the warmer water. It must be a 'yankee doodle' thing.

Nice race, 3rd in your group- I'd take that any lifetime!! Next time you'll totally smoke those men!

I think that pot-bellied man needs the 'manzier' let alone the smoking Buddha, LOL

Enjoy getting back at running, nice shoes! I love the green.

I can relate to your dirty feeling...totally needed a hard scrubbing after New Orleans. Ick.

Thanks Marcy... I didn't even notice the man boobs until you said something. Now, I think they're kinda hot... oh, no, I didn't just that? Gah!! :-)
